EDB has four programmes to recognise the valuable contributions of investors to Singapore. They are:

- Honorary Citizen Award
2003 marks the inaugural year for the Honorary Citizen Award, Singapore's most prestigious and exclusive national award. This Award is given to outstanding global talent in recognition of their relentless support and invaluable contributions to Singapore.

- Distinguished Friends of Singapore Programme
Inaugurated in 1998. This acknowledges outstanding personal contributions to Singapore's economy. These individuals are the highest corporate managers at the Chairman, President or CEO level.

- Friends of Singapore (Business) Award
Launched in 2000. This aims to show appreciation to investors at the Managing Director or Chief Executive level who, as operational managers based in Singapore, have been instrumental in day-to-day dealings with EDB.
