On 4 Nov 2011, Autodesk, Inc., a leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, announced the expansion of its popular Autodesk Clean Tech Partner Program in Singapore. The Autodesk Clean Tech Partner Program provides Digital Prototyping software to emerging and established clean technology companies, with the goal of accelerating innovation and addressing some of the world's most pressing environmental challenges. Singapore is the second country in the Asia Pacific region, after Japan, to offer the programme, which is open to all of Singapore's innovative clean tech companies, including those specialising in solar energy, fuel cells, biomass, wind energy, tidal energy, energy-efficiency and carbon reduction services.
"Singapore is rapidly gaining momentum as a hub of clean tech innovation," said Lynelle Cameron, director of sustainability at Autodesk. "We're pleased to offer advanced design technology to help these clean tech entrepreneurs and pioneers bring their ideas to market faster and more cost-effectively."
Said Yeoh Keat Chuan, Assistant Managing Director of the Singapore Economic Development Board, "Autodesk's Clean Tech Partner Program complements Singapore's efforts to become a 'Living Laboratory', where companies can test, develop and commercialise clean tech solutions, before scaling them up for global markets. We are pleased that information technology companies such as Autodesk are leveraging the growing clean tech sector here to explore co-innovation opportunities and accelerate the commercialisation of clean tech solutions from Singapore."
