Board changes at the Singapore Economic Development Board
The Ministry for Trade and Industry (MTI) today announced board appointment changes at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR). These appointments will take effect from 1 February 2012.
Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB)
MTI has appointed three new board members and re-appointed five members for EDB.
New Board Members (2-year term)
- Mr Joseph Flanagan, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Operations and Supply Chain, Applied Materials Inc.
- Mr Jean-Luc Butel, Corporate Vice President and President International, Baxter International Inc.
- Mr Hiroshi Ikuno, Executive Officer, Regional Chief Executive Officer for ASEAN, Marubeni Corporation, Managing Director, Marubeni ASEAN Pte. Ltd.
Re-appointment of Board Members (2-year term)
- Ms Joanne Cham Hui Fong, Assistant Secretary General and Director, Industrial Relations, National Trades Union Congress
- Mr Kwek Mean Luck, Deputy Secretary (Industry), Ministry of Trade and Industry
- Mr Gautam Banerjee, Executive Chairman, PricewaterhouseCoopers Singapore
Re-appointment of Board Members (1-year term)
- Ms Deborah Henretta, Group President, Asia, Procter & Gamble
- Mr Amadou Diallo, Chief Executive Officer, DHL Freight
Three board members will be stepping down upon the completion of their terms on 31 January 2012. They are:
- Mr Goh Chye Boon, Head, China Partnerships, Government of Singapore Investment Corporation Pte. Ltd.
- Mr George Goh Tiong Yong, Executive Chairman, Meiban Group Ltd.
- Mr Stephen Felice, President, Global Consumer, Small & Medium Business, Dell Global B.V.
