Professor Anound de Meyer

Better known as the founding Dean of INSEAD's Asia campus in Singapore, Professor De Meyer spent more than 23 years in INSEAD in various senior academic and administrative positions. Prior to his appointment at the Singapore Management University, he was Director of Judge Business School in Cambridge University since 2006.

Professor De Meyer is an electro-technical engineer and has a Doctoral Degree in Management from the State University of Ghent (Belgium). He studied as a visiting scholar at the AP Sloan School of Management of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, USA). He was visiting professor at Keio Business School (Tokyo), Waseda University (Tokyo) and the University of Kiel (Germany). He taught also at the University of Gent (Belgium).

His main research interests are:

  • Manufacturing and technology strategy
  • The implementation of new manufacturing technologies
  • The management of R&D
  • How innovation can be managed more effectively
  • Project management under conditions of high uncertainty
  • Management and innovation in Asia
  • The globalisation of Asian firms, the management of novel projects
  • E-readiness in Europe
